Abstract Photographic Art

I am exploring the intersection of the basic forms of our world (GROUND-SKY-WATER) by abstracting and simplifying their colors and forms. By so doing, I hope to deflect the mind's tendency to dwell on the concrete and elicit an emotional or metaphorical response in the viewer. Using an unusual photographic technique, I am taking a specific place and making it universal, allowing the viewer to more easily relate to the scene depicted, bringing their own memories and feelings to it. Aluminum printing allows the viewer to get closer to the work, removing the traditional glass barrier.
